7-Year-Old Mila Brener Gets Another Gig; Andrew Dice’s on Board with Woody Allen’s New Movie
Mila Brener, daughter of Israeli celebrity actress Shirly Brener, has been taking impressive steps in her Hollywood and fashion world career, recently working alongside academy award nominees Frank Langella and Bruce Dern and appearing in numerous campaigns for JC Penny, Joes Jeans, Wal Mart , Esprit and many others… and she’s only 7!
Last week, little miss Brener took another step forward when her new movie, ‘Imaginary Friend,’ premiered June 2nd on ‘Lifetime,’ and will be running all Summer (July/August) on the channel. “Imaginary Friend” also stars Lacy Chabert and Paul Sorvino, and tells the story of a very wealthy woman who comes back to live in the same mansion she grew up in, and having a mental illness, she relies on an imaginary friend (played by Mila) for strength.
On a related note, Mila’s father Bruce Rubenstein, an entertainment entrepreneur (and nice Long Island Jew), was apparently the one who put the deal together between Woody Allen’s new movie and Dice Marketing (Bruce is Andrew Dice Clay’s manager and producing partner).
Turns out that Dice, who changed his name at the beginning of his comedy career from – wait for it – Andrew Silverstein, is also going to be one of the leads opposite Blanchet and Baldwin. Woody Allen, who is a big fan of the show ‘Entourage,’ was impressed by Dice’s acting abilities on the last season of the show.
