Dor Dekel and Sarai Givaty: A Hit in Romania!

Mar 29 2012

The song ‘Always,’ cover of a 1994 hit for the band Erasure,  was released a while ago in Israel by DJ and Producer Dor Dekel featuring the vocals of actress Sarai Givaty, but only now does it break out in Europe.

The duo, which is currently touring the clubs in Israel, was signed with a dance label Roton in Romania, one of the biggest dance labels in Europe, which released the song officially, and it became a hit playing on the Romanian Kiss FM. The label intends to extend the success of the hit and release it all over Europe this summer. The deal with Roton was made by Boiling Music, the dance division of Warner Music Israel.

Dor and Sarai are both currently working on separate projects; both of them are aimed at the international audience. Dor is planning a full album including original dance/club anthems which are already signed to some major labels, and Sarai is working on her first EP in English, which will include both singles that were already released in Israel, ‘Into Your Heart’ and the acoustic Bruno Mars cover for ‘Grenade.’

Still, we anticipate the cherry on the top for this EP: a rumored collaboration with Enrique Iglesias, whose video she appeared in back in 2007 (in a steamy makeout session!) and started the whole process of her becoming a singer.
