Israeli-Born Actress Odeya Rush to Play Young Angelina Jolie
In Israel people already call her ‘the new Natalie Portman.’ 15-year-old Odeya Rush from Haifa, Israel, claims to have forgotten most of her Hebrew by now, since she moved with her parents to New York 6 years ago to pursue acting, and now her remarkable resemblance to Angelina Jolie when she was in her teens was caught by American producers as she is set to star as a young version of the Hollywood royal actress in a movie that centers around the life of Maleficent, the wicked witch from the fairytale ‘Sleeping Beauty.’

At the moment, there’s only one problem with this casting: Rush is committed to another movie, ‘The Locals,’ where she is set to star opposite Shirley MacLaine and Vera Farmiga, but the producers are now trying to set Rush’s schedule in a way that she’ll be able to appear in both movies.
Rush has already appeared in the hit TV series “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Law and Order: SVU” and then landed a costarring role in the film The “Odd Life of Timothy Green,” opposite Jennifer Garner.
