Meital Dohan’s Down a Yummy New Road

Mar 19 2012

Actress Meital Dohan didn’t mean to be turned into a gay-icon-pop-star, but her new single has brought her to this exact place. “It’s not a decision for a change in my career,” Dohan tells AbbaNibi.com “I’m just following my life and circumstances and all of a sudden I became a singer. So, I’m going with it, and it’s a lot of fun.”

The story behind Dohan’s re-invention is that she went back to Israel and even thought about returning for good, but then she met her spiritual guide who told her ‘you have to go back to LA and work on your singing career. Dohan, at that time, didn’t record any song. “I didn’t know what she was talking about,” she laughs, “I thought she was crazy.”

The track, entitled ‘Yummy’ produced by LMFAO’s  brainchild Rami Afuni is Dohan’s first official single from her debut album, “I’m in hate with love”. The song is currently the most played single on Pride Radio, one of iHeartRadio’s most popular channels, and is already in the top 5 on the club charts in France. ‘Yummy’  is also the #1 globally trending track on ReverbNation, the independent music industry scene’s biggest website. The video premiered on MTV & MTV U and was quickly featured on MTV’s Buzzworthy Blog. Watch it here.
