Romi Abulafia as a Stripper?

Nov 21 2011

Actress Romi Abulafia, who is known for her part opposite Jude Law in Breaking and Entering (2006), is coming back to her native Israel after another success in Hollywood, playing Sarah Gold in ‘The Debt,’ which grossed over $44 million worldwide.

Abulafia was recently cast to play a stripper in a new Israeli TV series, named after one of Tel Aviv’s main streets, Allenby, which is also famous for being a central place for hookers. The series is an original adaptation by the author Gadi Taub to his own book from 2009, which deals with Tel Aviv’s darkest nightlife in that side of Allenby, which is filled with bullies, strippers and illegal immigrants.

The series is destined to be aired on Channel 10, but it’s still unclear whether it will actually get to that, with the recent financial problems of the channel, that can cause for its shutdown.
