The Best Mimouna in Town
While we were celebrating the North African tradition of “Mimouna” (the end of Passover) with the World’s Most Beautiful Moroccan Jewish Women, in Israel they celebrated the real thing over the weekend, with “Mimouna parties” filled with traditional Moroccan Mimouna food.
The most famous Mimouna party this year was held by Leon Edry, a businessman who is also a co-owner of Cinema City, the biggest movie theater/mall in the country. Among the celebrities who came to eat and enjoy the atmosphere with a performance of a young professional belly dancer were Zion Baruch (who was mistakenly named Bar Refaeli’s “new man” last week in England) and his other BFF comedienne Yael Poliakov, veteran actor Ze’ev Revach, Hollywood actor Stephen Dorff (yes, he’s still there), and even Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his wife, accompanied by their son Yair and Yair’s new girlfriend.
