Tomorrow: Israeli President to Launch a Peace Page on Facebook

Israeli President Shimon Peres will launch an International Facebook page, in cooperation with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, in the Facebook offices in California tomorrow at 9AM (PST). Peres’ Facebook page will be dedicated to promoting peace and will target young people in the Arab world.

The President will arrive in Silicon Valley tomorrow (Tuesday) and will be a guest of honor at a special launch ceremony, in which Zuckerberg himself will hit the famous “Like” button on Peres’ page, and watch a special video clip entitled “Be my Friends for Peace, ” that was edited by Social Media specialist Noy Alooshe, in which Mr. Peres is seen calling all citizens of the world to come up with ideas to promote peace.

Also in the plan, a special interview that will be broadcast live on Facebook with Sheryl Sandberg, Chief Operating Officer (and “#2″) at Facebook.
Tomorrow’s events will also officially launch a program called ‘Peres 360,’ in which Peres will be “available” 24 hours-a-day, and will provide accessability to the President’s activities in real time, through his Israeli Facebook Page, his International Facebook Page (available as of March 6) and his Official YouTube Channel
