D.C. young leadership group for FIDF launched

WASHINGTON DC: Jeremy Alexander from Potomac, had always been passionate about the IDF, so he decided to launch a young leadership chapter of the FIDF in Washington.

Just more than 40 days later, nearly 200 young professionals packed into Public Bar in Dupont Circle Thursday for the kick-off happy hour of the FIDF’s Young Leadership division in Washington, a chapter that Alexander and the committee he assembled spent the past month getting off the ground.

“What makes the IDF important is that it’s an army of the Jewish people,” Alexander said. “The IDF is the only army in the world where its job is not just to defend a country, Israel, but [to defend] the Jewish people.”
