Russian billionaire businessman and philanthropist Mikhail Fridman is the key personality behind the ‘Jewish Nobel Prize.’ As it was announced, in mid-May 2013 the first winner of the annual $1 million Genesis Prize is scheduled to be announced in Jerusalem, and Fridman hopes to “inspire Jews around the world to turn their talents and passions to the betterment of humanity.”
